Neutralization Solution (HN3) is supplied by HiMedia. It consists of guanidine hydrochloride and acetic acid, 100% for molecular biology.

A neutralizing solution is added after lysis, causing the denatured genomic DNA to precipitate, while the circular, covalently closed plasmid DNA reanneals, remaining in solution.
