Karl fischer reagent pyridine free is manufactured by Securex Lab Sciences. These reagents are used for analysis of water content. Using this reagent, both volumetric and caulometric measurements can be made. Volumetric determination is done for samples with more than 0.1% water content. A redox reaction is used followed by a titration to determine the amount of iodine consumed. Caulometric calculation is done for samples with less than 0.1% water content.
