THIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE

Categories:

Thiamine Hydrochloride by MP Biomedicals is a high grade reagent. Also known as thiamin or vitamin B1, it contains an aminopyrimidine and a thiazole ring linked by a methylene bridge. This reagent is available as a powder which is soluble in water. Thiamine is soluble in water, methanol, and glycerol and practically insoluble in less polar organic solvents. Complex thiamine biosynthesis is observed in bacteria, some protozoans, plants, and fungi. They are found in a wide variety of processed and whole foods, with edible seeds, legumes, rice and processed foods, such as breakfast cereals, having the highest contents. Thiamine hydrochloride is hygroscopic in nature. CAS No. 67-03-8 Quantity Provided: 100 gm per pack Molecular Formula: C12H17N4OSClHCl Molecular Weight: 337.3 Soluble in water Thiamine Hydrochloride is widely used in chemical and biological sectors. This compound is used in the fluorimetric determination of mercury. It is also required to support energy metabolism and amino acid synthesis in cultured cells. Thiamine hydrochloride is also present in many classical and serum-free formulations.
